Any source, to any screen. And the cable spaghetti has only one address.

Four machines, one box, and nobody negotiating over a screen. It is a homelab multimedia server rack that is used for work, gaming, and entertainment.

About Temple

In IKEA’s BESTÅ 60×40×64 cm cabinet sits a 10U rack that houses: PC, MacBook Pro, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5.

The only cables that get out of the box are: LAN, power, USB to the workstation, and HDMI to the workstation monitor and the TV. The rest of the cables are hidden inside the box.

You can switch between the four sources with a single button press on the matrix switch. The whole setup is modular, so I can swap out the sources whenever I want. Having only one constraint: the sources must be able to output 4K@60Hz over HDMI 2.0, and the cables must be no longer than 5 meters.
